2009 sees the Windy City Kayak Symposium move from 63rd Street Beach in Chicago, IL to the Illinois Beach Resort inside of Illinois Beach State Park in Zion, IL. The Illinois Beach Resort is located directly on Lake Michigan in Zion, Illinois just 40 minutes from both Chicago and Milwaukee. Hosting the symposium at the resort will make the symposium a fuller experience for participants than in past years. Some highlights of this location include:

Getting to Illinois Beach Conference Center
From the South: I-294 north to Rt 173 east (approx 8 miles) to Sheridan Road. Make a right on Sheridan Road to Wadsworth Road, make a left and you will be in the park. Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center is at the very end of Wadsworth Rd.
From the North: I-94 South to Rt. 173, east on Rt.173 to Sheridan Road, right on Sheridan Road to Wadsworth Road and make a left on Wadsworth into the Park.Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center is at the very end of Wadsworth Rd.
From Illinois US-41: Take US-41 North, Turn Right on Wadsworth Rd. (East), Continue on Wadsworth Rd. East approximately 8 miles. Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center is at the very end of Wadsworth Rd.
From O'Hare or West Suburbs: Take I-90 West, Take I-294 North and Exit rt. 132 EAST (Grand Ave.), Turn Left (North) onto rt. 21 (Milwaukee Ave), Turn left onto 41, Turn Right onto Wadsoworth rd. Continue on Wadsworth Rd. East approximately 5 miles. Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center is at the very end of Wadsworth Rd.
