This resort, which is the site of the symposium, is the only hotel in the state of Illinois located directly on Lake Michigan. The symposium has rooms reserved at the resort for a special event rate of 129.00 per night. Rooms with two queen beds and rooms with one king bed are available at this price. Camping - Illinois Beach State Park
For participants who want to stay in the Great Outdoors or the more budget-minded participant, camping is available within walking distance of the symposium site at the campground in Illinois Beach State Park. The campground provides 244 Class A Premium sites with electricity and access to showers and sanitary facilities.
We recommend making reservations with the park although 200 of the park's campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All sites are 30.00 per night.

If you are registered for Saturday or Sunday, lunch is included! Come by the registration tent to pick up your lunch, and relax with friends between morning and afternoon sessions.

Saturday's Lakeside Luau is a fun time to get together with all the symposium's participants for great food, drinks, games and comradery. Following the afternoon session on Saturday, participants have time to return to their campsite or lodge room, relax, check-in for the Paddlers Meet and then head down to the beach for the Luau. Great food including Kawai Grilled Fish, Hawaiin Beef Kabobs adn Mango Chicken Breast are accompanied by potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob, baked beans, fresh vegetables and Pineapple upside-down cake!
